📜 Code of Conduct Policy
All families participating in the AHI Swim Team are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and conduct themselves in a way that earns respect from children, other swimmers, parents, officials, and coaches at both practices and meets.
As a parent, swimmer, or family member, I agree to follow these guidelines:
🤝 Practice Teamwork
- Support the values of good sportsmanship
- Be encouraging, respectful, and fair toward all AHI swimmers, parents, and coaches
đź‘€ Monitor Children
- Parents and siblings are welcome to watch practices
- Children must never be left unattended at the pool
- No running on pool deck or grass, no climbing on bleachers
- Children causing distractions may be asked to leave
🙏 Be Respectful
- Criticism, name-calling, abusive language, or gestures toward coaches, officials, or swimmers will not be tolerated
- Parents/guardians may not coach or instruct swimmers in a way that interferes with the coaching staff
đź’¬ Communicate Effectively
- Questions or concerns about coaches’ or officials’ decisions should be addressed after practice or by email to the coaching staff
- Keep all communication respectful and solution-focused
🏅 Volunteer
- Volunteer support is key to the team’s success
- Complete assigned volunteer responsibilities, or arrange a substitute if necessary
