📜 Code of Conduct Policy

All families participating in the AHI Swim Team are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and conduct themselves in a way that earns respect from children, other swimmers, parents, officials, and coaches at both practices and meets.

As a parent, swimmer, or family member, I agree to follow these guidelines:

🤝 Practice Teamwork

  • Support the values of good sportsmanship
  • Be encouraging, respectful, and fair toward all AHI swimmers, parents, and coaches

đź‘€ Monitor Children

  • Parents and siblings are welcome to watch practices
  • Children must never be left unattended at the pool
  • No running on pool deck or grass, no climbing on bleachers
  • Children causing distractions may be asked to leave

🙏 Be Respectful

  • Criticism, name-calling, abusive language, or gestures toward coaches, officials, or swimmers will not be tolerated
  • Parents/guardians may not coach or instruct swimmers in a way that interferes with the coaching staff

đź’¬ Communicate Effectively

  • Questions or concerns about coaches’ or officials’ decisions should be addressed after practice or by email to the coaching staff
  • Keep all communication respectful and solution-focused

🏅 Volunteer

  • Volunteer support is key to the team’s success
  • Complete assigned volunteer responsibilities, or arrange a substitute if necessary

🌟 Thank You!
